Suddenly my iPad cannot send through smtp.me.com#1
Until recently, our wi-fi only iPad was fine with sending and receiving mac.com/me.com email. As of today, it no longer sends. I get an error message that it cannot connect to smtp.me.com.
I have tried this on another wi-fi network to confirm it was not a local network issue. Also, I confirmed that another iPad -- with the same settings -- also cannot send from that account BUT CAN send through another me.com account.
So it would appear to be an issue with that particular account.
I did all the usual stuff -- restoring the iPad, recreating the mail account on the iPad -- but no luck.
Any further suggestions?

Same issue only none of my .me accounts will send any outgoing mail. Have tried to delete, reset accounts with no success. Same problems on my iphone, ipad, and laptop. Appears to be a problem with Mail or Mobile me. Ironically, one message got out this morning after I hit send, then back to the same problem on all machines.

Upon further investigation, this was caused by the account in question going over the daily send limit (200), which temporarily locked it.
Short version: I had set up a rule to automatically send a copy of all inbound mail on that account to a backup account on Gmail. Returning from vacation, I fired up the computer and, thanks to the backlog of unread mail, hit the limit.
