When you install apps like Dropbox and copy and even facebook or Google plus on iOS it generates a data cache within app.

E.g. Just go to settings and look for usage statistic of Dropbox app if it's 30 mob now open Dropbox app and checkout photos videos or download files. Now again check the usage statistic of the Dropbox app in settings you will notice the app size has gone up from 30 to probably 35 or 40 mb

Over a period this cache gets accumulated. How do I clear this cache or data of app.

Android has a nice facility to clear data and also apps like clean master clean up cache and free up lots of space. how can I do it on iOS

Thanks Diavonex but probably seems a crude of doing things a nicer approach would be that Apple gives an interface which all apps implement to clear data and on os level we cal call clear data on individual or all apps.

thanks anyway

It's going to depend on the apps themselves. Some apps offer a means to clear the cache and data used from within the app itself (likely under a "settings" option within the app).

Some apps may offer the means to clear it's cache by going into your device's Settings, then scroll all the way down to the apps list at the bottom and see see if the option exists here (not very common).

If neither method is available for the particular app, then the only way to clear the cache is by deleting, then reinstalling the app as Diavonex mentioned.
